Two vastly different watches similar in design…
The Grand Seiko Spring Drive Diver has a busier watch face with a power reserve indicator at 8 o’clock and a date window at 3 o’clock. It also has a locking three-fold clasp with four micro-adjustment positions. This dive watch has a uniquely Japanese aesthetic and comes in stainless steel, but is also available in titanium.
This recently-discontinued Rolex Submariner serves as an evolution of the iconic 1953 original. The black and white design is meant to offer a high contrast for easy reading of the time. Unlike many other steel watches with 316L steel, the Rolex Submariner uses 904L steel (Oystersteel), which is a more corrosion resistant alloy.
Which one would you choose?
