Price Breakdown: Patek Philippe Nautilus

This Patek Philippe Nautilus features a busy dial with interesting complications.

Released in October 2006, the Patek 5712 is a lesser seen take on the classic Nautilus design. Though it comes in other dial colors, the gradient blue color is the only available variation for the steel 5712. An off center small seconds subdial rests at four o’clock and a larger date and moon-phase display is positioned at seven o-clock. It also features a power reserve indicator at ten o’clock.

With an average trading price of $69,000 on the private sales market, this watch is only marginally more expensive than the 5711/1A, which has a market average of around $64,000. Yet, it is a much more horologically impressive watch. Has Patek managed to pull off this unique dial configuration?
