Price Breakdown: Tudor Black Bay GMT

The versatile dual-time Tudor Black Bay GMT – be sure to buy at the right price!

The Tudor Black Bay GMT 79830, released in 2018, is a Tudor Black Bay dive watch combined with the functionality of a dual-time chronometer. It features an in-house caliber MT5652 movement with 70 hours of power reserve, a bidirectional rotatable bezel that allows the wearer to track different time zones, 200 meters of water resistance, and a domed black dial. The red and blue design is similar to the Rolex GMT-Master II “Pepsi,” but costs significantly less and uses an aluminum versus ceramic insert. This watch retails at $4,050, but its average after-market pricing is $3,800, which marks a slight 6% decrease. This watch is a great buy under $3600, assuming a reasonable condition and box and papers. If you pay over $4,000, consider buying the watch at retail instead unless you’re getting a near-perfect example.
