No Time(piece) To Die – which one of these Omega James Bond watches is your favorite?
The 2020 Seamaster 007 Edition (126.96.36.199.01.001) is the latest Omega to be featured in the James Bond franchise, with the upcoming premiere of No Time To Die in April 2021. It’s built from a unique combination of a titanium case and a brown aluminum bezel/dial; inside, it features an automatic Calibre Omega 8806 with 55 hours power reserve along with a helium escape valve for 300 meters of water resistance. This watch has only depreciated on the secondary market by a negligible 1%, which is quite strong value retention for an Omega watch.
The Seamaster 300 SPECTRE limited edition (188.8.131.52.01.001), worn by Bond in the 2015 Spectre movie, is a unique watch with its bi-directional ceramic bezel ring, lollipop seconds hand, vintage Super-Luminova coating, and Omega calibre 8400 with 60 hours power reserve. The watch is no longer available for sale by Omega since it was limited to just 7,007 pieces. Despite the production number being quite high, the watch actually trades at around 15% above retail on the secondary market.
